Sara’s commitment to Sebastopol, to our schools, and to our students, is unparalleled. A lifelong resident of Sebastopol, Sara attended Brook Haven, student-taught at Park Side, and in 2000 began her teaching career in our District. Concurrently, her three daughters attended our schools, and Sara and her husband, Jason, volunteered extensively in classrooms, on field trips, and for fundraisers. Upon earning her administrative credential, Sara became our Vice-Principal, and in 2018 was named Brook Haven Principal. Now serving as Brook Haven Principal/Assistant Superintendent, Sara has been an integral part of developing the thriving Sebastopol Union Schools we see today.
With Sara Gramm’s move to the Superintendent/Principal position housed at Brook Haven, we have the privilege of appointing Molly Bulwa to be Park Side Principal. Molly, Vice-Principal since 2018, has shown dedication, caring and skill in supporting students, staff, and families district-wide. We are so fortunate that we can ensure continuity in the leadership at Park Side. The District is excited to announce the hiring of Vice-Principal and Curriculum Director, Rachel Lasek, an SUSD alumni. Ms. Lasek comes from Analy High School, where she has been a Vice-Principal for the past two years. With experience as both a teacher and educational leader, Ms. Lasek will be a great asset to both campuses and she will round out the administrative team.
We would like to thank the community and staff for their input via the survey on District Direction and Input. Responses were overwhelmingly positive, expressing support for the trajectory and culture of the district. The Board is confident we’ll have a stable transition with Sara and Molly at the helm, and the district will advance the work already achieved by Linda and the entire district staff in providing our students with the support and education they deserve.
