District Administrator Updates

Dear Sebastopol Union School District Families and Community Members,

The Sebastopol Union School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce an administrative restructuring that will take effect for the 2026–2027 school year. Amidst ongoing state and federal challenges, this change to dedicated district leadership and site-based principals will allow us to continue providing outstanding educational experiences while planning strategically for the years ahead.

Beginning this school year:

• Sara Gramm will serve as Superintendent.

• Rachel Lasek will serve as Principal of Brook Haven School.

• Molly Bulwa will continue in her role as Principal of Park Side School.

Sebastopol Union is fortunate to have an exceptionally strong and collaborative administrative team. Sara, Rachel, and Molly each bring extensive experience, deep district knowledge, and a shared commitment to student success. Their leadership ensures continuity and strengthens support for students, families, and staff.

For the past nine years, Sara Gramm has served as Principal and Superintendent-Principal, leading Brook Haven through a period of tremendous growth and development. As Superintendent, Sara will be able to devote her full attention to supporting both school sites, working closely with district staff, overseeing major construction projects, and leading long-range planning efforts that will benefit students, families, and the entire school community. 

Rachel Lasek has been instrumental in supporting instructional programs, fostering a positive school culture, and advancing key district initiatives. As Brook Haven's new principal, she brings both continuity and fresh vision to the role. Rachel is committed to building an even stronger sense of community and school pride while continuing to enhance academic achievement and ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Molly Bulwa will continue providing the steady leadership that has made Park Side a welcoming and supportive school community. Her commitment to strong relationships, collaboration, and student success has created an environment where students feel connected and valued, and where families and staff experience a true sense of belonging.

The Board also recognizes that the success of our schools is made possible by the dedication of our outstanding teachers, classified staff, district employees, and CASTLE team members. Together, this leadership structure will strengthen collaboration across both campuses, improve coordination of district initiatives, and position Sebastopol Union School District for continued success.

We are excited about the opportunities ahead and remain committed to providing exceptional educational experiences for every student while maintaining the strong sense of community that makes Sebastopol Union School District so special.
