Project Updates and Notices

We know that our vision of safe and healthy schools can only be realized through the active participation of our entire community—including students, teachers and staff, district leadership, and the surrounding neighborhood. 

In this section of the Facilities page, we aim to keep all stakeholders informed about upcoming community meetings, construction updates, and major public events.

  • April 14, 2026 – Project Update

    Portables are being placed in the back corner of the property in anticipation of CASTLE's temporary relocation during construction on the Park Side upper campus. A district facility barn is scheduled to be completed in June in the same location to replace the aging "Bus Barn" near the Park Side MPR.
     

     

  • April 14, 2026 – Project Update

    Work continues on the Office and Safety Entry, as well as required ADA upgrades to two bathrooms.
     

     

    January 27, 2026 – Project Update

    The construction at Park Side is set to begin soon and during this time the front of the school and interior hallway will be temporarily closed. This construction project will increase safety and create more efficient spaces for students, staff, and school business.

    Key Details:

    • Tentative Fence Installation Date & Closure of Front of School and Parking Lot: February 2
    • Tentative Construction Begins: February 2
    • Temporary Office Location: Room 11 (the current music room), behind the blue double doors at the front of the school, accessible from the Washington Avenue sidewalk
    • Campus Entry and Exit: All students will enter and depart through the garden gate on Washington Avenue and/or the playground gate on Dutton Avenue
       

     

    October 27, 2025 – Community Notice

    The front parking lot & drive through circle will be closed during this work on the entry. Fencing will go up soon and we know there will be a more significant impact on our neighbors along Washington Ave. & Dutton Ave. We ask that you help us mitigate any issues by being a thoughtful neighbor. Don’t block driveways, double park or leave your car running in front of homes.
